- Lillian "Lucy" Hardy Crofoot, divorced, William "Dave" Crofoot, in M ay of 1955. Lucy worked at the Dept. of Foreign Commerce in Washington, D. C. from 1942 to 1963. Lillian lived alone after her children married. She had a mini stroke a nd went to Leland Hospital in Prince Georges Co, MD for tests on Jan 07, 1 979. She was released on Jan 14th and went to live with her daughter, Dor othy Farrar, in Hanover, MD. On Feb 18, 1979 she suffered a major stroke a nd was taken by ambulance to Holy Cross Hospital, in Silver Springs, Md. S he was at Holy Cross Hospital until March 20, 1979, then was transferred a gain by ambulance to Colonial Villa Nursing Home, Silver Springs, Montgome ry Co, MD. Lillian passed away the following Saturday, March 24, 197 9, at the age of 78. Funeral services were held at 1PM on March 28, 1979 at Chambers Funeral Ho me, Riverdale, Prince Georges Co, MD. the Reverend George Harpel of Burkit tsville, Md officiated, the organist was Ruth Kilpatrick. Pall bearers wer e: Robert and James Farrar; Robert and Clifford Reckley; Rusell Hardy; Art hur C. Reynolds. This statement was made on June 05, 2005, by her daughter, Dorothy (Dotti e) Crofoot Farrar. Dates noted were taken from her 1979 diary.
